Let me set the scene.
A few weeks ago, I decided to order a new phone for my ‘side business’. This was due to my old ‘smart’ ‘work phone’ struggling to handle any video social media, crashing constantly, and generally being a bit crap.
At the time, I thought I was asking a bit too much of the cheap smart phone.
So, off I plopped to Amazon, browsing for a new mobile.
I knew I wasn’t looking for another smart phone. No WhatsApp, no social media, just text message and calls. After all, WhatsApp had been kinda stressing me out (I can’t yet put my finger on why, though).
Lo and behold, I found one that looked just like the old Nokias. Fellow millennials will understand why I was drawn to an old school Nokia.
Perfect! I thought.
It took nearly two weeks to arrive, but I wasn’t bothered about that.
I didn’t think it odd that it fit through my letter box. Nor did I register the small package it came in. Most phones are packaged in small boxes, aren’t they?
This was the packaging it came in:

You can just about see the phone next to the packaging…
Here was my new little functional mobile phone:

I clocked that the USB charger cable was a ‘mini USB’ charger connection, and not USB type C like most devices nowadays. Possible red flag…
And here it is:

After rechecking my order, the screen size is 0.66 inches – 1.6cm.

Here is the phone size compared to a TV remote

And the phone compared to a standard toilet roll

Another angle compared to a toilet roll

Finally, a size comparison to my other work phone and a TV remote.
Even more amazingly – underneath the battery is space for not one, but 2 simultaneous sim card slots. You can text and ring just like any other phone!
Except… you’d need binoculars just to see the screen.
Trust me to make this kind of mistake!
So, yeah. Please learn from my mistake and check the dimensions before ordering 😂
Happy Tuesday!
Much love,
Lexi Rose
Xx
